Weddings & Ceremonies

Selly Manor is a dream setting for a small wedding or partnership ceremony.

The guests congregate in the magnificent 12th century cruck-framed medieval hall house, Minworth Greaves. Entrance is via the heavy oak door into the main hall, and the ceremony takes place in front of the 17th century oak table.
Minworth Greaves can seat up to 40 guests for civil ceremonies and the Tudor garden provides a perfect backdrop for the photographs of the day.

Commitment Ceremonies
A Commitment Ceremony is for adult couples to make a public declaration of commitment to one another. This can be in front of friends and family or in private without guests. A Celebrant will conduct the ceremony. The couple can choose the words they wish to say and can add poems and readings if they wish.

Renewal of Vows
To show their continuing commitment to one another, couples who are already married can renew their vows. The ceremony can include readings, rededication of the rings and declarations. A certificate is issued and signed by the couple and witnesses.

Baby Naming Ceremony
A naming ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the arrival of a child and declare, before friends and family, a promise to be as good a parent as you can. Parents do not have to be married and the child can be of any age. The ceremony can include promises, readings and the presentation of a gift to the child. A record of the ceremony is provided as a souvenir.

Hire Fees
The fee for hiring Minworth Greaves for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies is £900.

The fees for hiring Minworth Greaves for a Commitment Ceremony, Renewal of Vows, or Baby Naming Ceremony is £350. For safety reasons the number of people in your party cannot exceed 42.

Please note, the Registry Office will make an additional charge for all ceremonies.
