Then join our Past-Future heritage programme from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August 2026.

Join us for a week long heritage experience where you will:

Past-Future is free and you don't need to know anything about museums to take part! So what are you waiting for? 


When and Where?

The programme takes place at Selly Manor Museum, Bournville, from Monday 3rd - Friday 7th August 2026, 10am - 4pm each day.

Throughout the week participants will be working towards the curation of an exhibition that will be at the Rest House, Bournville, on Saturday 9th August as part of the Bournville and Weoley Castle Youth Festival. Attendance on Sunday 9th is not a mandatory part of the programme but highly encouraged.  

Bursary

We are delighted to announce that, thanks to the generous support of the GMC Trust, all 8 participants will receive a bursary for taking part in the programme equivalent to a living wage for the hours that they spend with us during the programme. Please not this bursary will only be processed after the completion of the programme.

Accessibility

This programme will take place at Selly Manor Museum throughout Selly Manor which has steep stairs and uneven floors. You will find detailed information about accessibility of the site on our Your Visit page of our website. There will also be times when the programme moves offsite, into the village of Bournville, and to other local heritage museums and galleries.
